Allie had a pretty bad stomach bug today, removing any desire for food. I could have gone out and gotten some crackers or something, but instead decided to make a batch of Alton Brown's Pretzels.

I'd been meaning to try this recipe out for awhile, and finally did a few weeks ago, making a batch to eat with our bean and ham soup - leftovers from Christmas dinner. Allie was out the night I made them so didn't get to taste the fresh-from-the-oven version, but still remarked on how good they were the next day.

They hit the spot today. She was able to put away a few of them and get some calories in.

It really is a fantastic and easy recipe. I highly recommend it for anyone who likes a good chewy, salty, delicous soft pretzel.
