Hitting the slopes

Hitting the slopes

I enjoyed my first day of ski lessons with Wings for Women. I felt so confident and in-control with my new gear, and my fears of getting demoted to a lower-level class were unfounded. I'm officially an Intermediate/Advanced skiier!

Meanwhile, I'm starting a 10-week challenge program at my health club. After four hours of skiing at Welch Village, I drove straight to the gym and spent half an hour doing baseline fitness tests: pull ups, push ups, planks, cardio, and some bizarre hitting-the-wall-with-chalk-on-your-hands exercise. I'm not going to go into details about the fat calipers.

Just as I was finishing the tests, it was time for my first fitness class. Apropos, the class is called "Insanity."

I'm exhausted.
