Sunrise
Minneapolis wakes up to another beautiful morning in the cold.
Oscar missed the bus this morning, which had me out, driving around the lakes at 7AM. "The sunrise is spectacular," said the MPR radio announcer, while I got to experience it in person, as the sun rose over Lake of the Isles.
Today may be the last day we have this kind of view. With a cold January, and very little precipitation, the city lakes have frozen like clear glass. You'll often see ice skaters exploring the entirety of Bde Maka Ska, and I've heard you can sometimes see fish under the water.
There's snow in the forecast for today, so like all things, a view like this is temporary. I'm glad I got to see it for myself.
