Crashed
Today was a bit of a letdown, but it led to some downtime that I needed anyway.
I planned on going to Crashed Ice with a local photography meetup group. I've been looking forward to this for awhile. But I was up much of the night thinking about my sore throat, and I woke up exhausted.
I have some serious problems with inertia. I spent much of the night awake in bed, dreading my next swallow, and thinking about how much I wanted some water and some Ibuprofen. But I couldn't figure out how to get myself out of the bed.
I awoke with the best of intentions, despite my exhaustion and my lingering sore throat. I got ready to head for the gym; "Save yourself for the meetup!" protested Jer.
I have some serious problems with inertia. I got home from the gym and got ready, but it took me about half an hour too long to dress and pack. By the time I got to the coffee shop to meet the others, they were already gone.
It was possible to catch up, but I was hungry and tired and the food at Nina's looked good. So I stayed for 6 hours. I caught up on correspondences, did a little organizing, and enjoyed some "me" time. I'm sorry I didn't make it to the event, but I'm not sorry that I took it easy on myself.
